BANJO EXPO 2020

What is BANJO EXPO 2020?

BANJO EXPO 2020 will be a three-day industry event focused solely on the banjo. A place to bring builders and players together.

BE 2020 grew out of what was originally planned as the Ode-Baldwin-Ome banjo gathering. While OBO, or the Ode-Baldwin-Ome gathering will still take place, it will be woven into a larger industry-wide banjo happening that will include a conference, an instrument show and ongoing sessions in bluegrass and old time banjo instruction.

The conference will focus on subjects of interest to banjo builders, historians, collectors, players and lovers of the banjo. We are planning seminars, lectures and panel discussions on banjo design, construction, materials, history, playing styles and the state of the banjo and industry. While we expect significant banjos to be on hand including numerous Odes, Baldwins, Omes and other brands, there will be opportunities for banjo builders to discuss and present their instruments. What are players looking for and what are builders offering?

The adjoining banjo show will provide an opportunity for demonstrating, selling, buying and trading banjos. Tables and chairs will be available.

We are still working on the specifics, but if you would like have your name added to the NABE update list or if you have any questions, email us and we'll be in touch. Registration information will be forthcoming!

When will BANJO EXPO 2020 happen?

Friday, November 13th-15th, 2020
